Adoration for Vocations Scheduled: Bishop Olson has asked each parish in the diocese to offer one hour of prayer a month for Adoration for Vocations. Holy Redeemer will hold adoration on the first Sunday of each month beginning Nov. 2 from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
Feast of All Saints and All Souls Observance Planned: For this special feast, there will be a table set up in the Narthex in memory of our deceased loved ones. If you would like to participate, please bring a small framed picture, original or copy, of your loved one to the office by Mon., Oct. 27, or place it on the table in the foyer. The display will be up for two weekends and you may pick up your picture after Mass on Nov. 9.
Rosaries for the Unborn Scheduled During 40 Days for Life: During 40 Days for Life (9/24 - 11/2), we will pray a Rosary for the unborn every Sunday in the sanctuary at 9:30 a.m. Please join us in the 40 Days for Life campaign and its efforts to bring an end to abortion.
Book of Life Offered in November: November is the month when we remember our beloved faithfully departed. We are offering all parishioners the opportunity to pray for their loved ones with a book entitled “The Book of Life”. The Book of Life is made up of family pages. Please take a page (available in the Narthex), include your family name, and list the names of deceased family and friends you would like remembered. If you have previously filled out a page you can take it out of the book and add to it. The book will be placed by the Blessed Sacrament and the faithfully departed will be prayed for at every Mass in November.
Boy Scout Campout Offered: Troop 1099 invites all boys, ages 11-14, along with their parents, to an overnight campout at Worth Scout Ranch in Palo Pinto County on Oct. 25-26. An informational meeting will be held at Holy Redeemer on Oct, 20 at 7:00 p.m. Please sign up in the narthex by Oct. 19.
New Altar Servers Needed: All children 4th grade and up are eligible to become trained as altar servers. As our current servers get older we need to bring in some newer members. Training is available most Sundays after the 8:00 a.m. Mass. It is done in short increments, approximately 15 minutes, so your child can still get to CCD on time. The training will last about 3 or 4 weeks.
Save the Date for the Parish Thanksgiving Social: The parish's annual Thanksgiving social is set for Sun., Nov. 23. Stay tuned for more d
