The sound system ministry utilizes audio technology to enhance the Mass and encourage active participation by all who are present for worship.
The use of audio technology facilitates the emphasis of focal points during the progression of the Mass while minimizing distractions among both liturgical participants and the assembly. Primary responsibilities of sound system operators include maintaining equipment, identifying equipment needs for Mass and special services, and operating equipment in support of the celebrant, lectors, the choir, musicians, and guest speakers.
Given the technical nature of this ministry and the equipment utilized, experience with audio technology is helpful for those interested in volunteering. -
